MongoDB realized it had a problem: The company helps developers to build great applications, but attendees at its annual event weren't as engaged with MongoDB — or with fellow attendees — as the company had hoped.
The event, MongoDB World, attracts more than 3,000 developers and other IT professionals who know a great app when they see one. But the company's existing mobile app for MongoDB World, one of its most important marketing events of year, didn't make it easy for attendees to find relevant sessions or to connect with speakers or other experts on site.
The solution? MongoDB built a new app using DoubleDutch to help attendees get the most out of the event. And it seems to be working. Downloads have doubled and engagement has soared since MongoDB rolled out its new-DoubleDutch-powered app.
