Ever wish that you could show a speaker some love in real time as they are sharing a story or giving a talk? Meet DoubleDutch’s newest mobile app feature: Live Scoring.
Live scoring enables attendees to tap a heart (or other preselected emoji) in their event app to show positive sentiments during a speaker’s talk or story. Organizers are then able to tally up the hearts to live score speakers at their events for friendly competitive activities like storytelling competitions, pitch-offs, and other speaking-related contests.
Here is how it all works:
Each speaker's name appears on the big screen, along with a timer.
The audience taps their mobile device to vote by sending "hearts" (or other emojis, customizable by the event organizer).
Hearts appear on the big screen in real time. The one who receives the most love wins!
We’ve used Live Scoring to power two of our signature StorySalon™ events and we can say first-hand that it brings a new level of engagement to the attendee-speaker dynamic. When projected both on the back screen and in front of speakers, Live Scoring creates a connection where speakers can physically see the energy in the room and feel how their words are resonating with the audience.
